Tania Arens ist Künstlerin und Druckgrafikerin geb.1969 in New York City.
Studium der Malerei an der Städelschule Frankfurt bei Christa Näher 1989-94.
Ausbildung zur Tätowiererin 1994-97, dann ausgiebiges Reisen.
Sie lebte von 2000-2020 auf Maui, Hawai’i, wo sie von Masterprinter Paul Mullowney in die Druckgrafik eingeführt wurde.
Seit 2016 lehrt sie Workshops in diversen Drucktechniken, heute lebt und arbeitet sie in Frankfurt a.M.

Tania Arens is an artist and printmaker born 1969 in New York City.
Study of painting at state university Städelschule Frankfurt/Germany with Christa Näher 1989-1994.
Apprenticeship in Tattooing 1994-97, then extensive travelling.
She lived on Maui, Hawai’i from 2000-2020, where she was introduced to printmaking by Masterprinter Paul Mullowney.
She teaches Workshops in various printmaking techniques since 2016.
Today she lives and works in Frankfurt a.M

Her work is about the strange and mysterious side of beauty and its authenticity.

Using etching, woodcut and collage-techniques, she depicts current realities within a mythological realm.

Body and soul in context with our contemporary environment are themes of her work on paper;

'The inside, the outside and the skin inbetween'.

Her work has been shown throughout Hawai’i,

in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Frankfurt/Germany.
